Different materials for the perfect application
Our braided sleevings are made of high-quality synthetic fibers, which due to the particularly braided structure maintain their elastic, yet durable and tensile-resistant structure. We offer braided sleevings made of glass filaments as well as of aramid, polyamide and polyester. Important when deciding on the appropriate braided sleeving material is the question of the possibility of use and the environment in which the braided sleeving is to be applied precisely.
Braided sleeves made of aramid or polyester
For example, braided sleevings made of aramid are highly tenacious and resistant. Neither fuel nor lubricants can harm the material. The extremely high resistance to heat and fire makes it also interesting for difficult operating conditions, because braided sleeves made of aramid retain their excellent properties up to a temperature of 180 degrees. By comparison, braided sleevings made of polyester are somewhat less heat-resistant, but they offer excellent mechanical protection and are used especially as bracing for pressure absorption. The material is best suited to thermal stresses between -50 and +120 degrees, and can withstand short-term temperatures up to +150 degrees.
Light and resistant: braided sleevings made of polyamide or glass filaments
The braided sleevings made of polyamide 6.6 have a pleasant lightness. They are not only very light but also abrasion-resistant, self-extinguishing, free of halogen, cadmium and formaldehyde! The highly flexible material adapts perfectly to different conditions and is optimally recyclable. If you are looking for a fire-resistant and heat-resistant variant of its braided sleevings, which go beyond the normal range, you are advised with braided sleevings made of glass filaments, since the application temperature is easily reached here at +480 degrees while the softening point is reached at +840 degrees.
