Braided sleeves made of polyester provide excellent mechanical protection for cables, hoses, and wires, and are also widely used for quick, easy, and secure bundling of cables. They are additionally used as overbraiding for pressure reinforcement, as well as in the electrical industry and the automotive sector.
Compared to braided sleeves made of materials such as polyamide 6.6 or glass filaments, polyester braided sleeves have an operating temperature range of -50 °C to +120 °C. Short-term temperature peaks of up to 150 °C are also possible.
Braided sleeves made of polyester are particularly popular due to their high strength combined with low weight, which represents the main advantage of this material. The high-strength material ensures excellent tear resistance, making polyester braided sleeves highly resistant to mechanical stress.
